About

What began as in invitation to a few women to train for a half-marathon in the fall of 2010 has become one of the largest women running/walking groups in the greater Sacramento area.  In October of 2010, Nikki had an idea to train for a half-marathon and decided to extend the invitation to a few people in order to get a small team together.  Suddenly, women from all walks of life, of many shapes, sizes and abilities began to express interest.  For a period of seven months they all trained together supporting one another along the way, and by the half-marathon in May of 2011, 50 women had crossed the finish line.

We are “doing the thing”.  Our motto is taken from a quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson. “Do the thing and you will have the power.”
